Howard Reed is an economist with over a decade of research experience in research institutes such as the Institute for Public Policy Research (ippr) and the Institute for Fiscal Studies.

Before leaving to found Landman Economics in May 2008, Howard's most recent job was Chief Economist at the IPPR.

Howard discusses, The Courageous State, the  economics book that seemingly everyone has an opinion about:

"Richard Murphy is an incendiary device thrown into the heart of the economic policy establishment.

The Courageous State explodes off the page with a blistering critique of the status quo, a startling new take on economic theory and a set of recommendations which could improve our lives in very short order if only our politicians had the conviction to apply them."
