Richard Murphy, social justice campaigner and author of The Courageous State is speaking today in Cambridge, 18th September 2012.

The Cambridge event (7.30-10pm: Question Time at the Unitarian Church, Emmanuel Road, Cambridge CW1 1JW) follows a day of campaigning, with other events including:

Ipswich, Bury St. Edmunds and Cambridge

  • 9-11am: Ipswich

  • 12 midday-2pm.: Bury St. Edmunds.

  • 6-8pm: Fitzroy Street outside Eden Baptist Church, Cambridge.

Some more about the event:

Why we're touring: tax justice

Tax dodging costs developing countries an estimated $160bn every year - one and a half times what they receive in international aid!

This is caused by loopholes in the global financial system and the unscrupulous companies who seek to exploit them.
