Searching Finance is delighted to announce that Douglas Bamford has signed with us, to write a monograph on rethinking tax.
Douglas has an MA in Political Philosophy from the University of York. He is currently researching egalitarian tax policy at the University of Warwick.
His research interests are in distributive justice and liberal egalitarian political philosophy, tax policy, and the use of technology to improve tax calculations, payments and assessments.
The book Rethinking Taxation: The CLIPH-rate tax, will present his proposal for a more egalitarian tax system.
This novel form of tax calculation is designed to produce greater redistribution without the usual disincentives or market inefficiencies.
Rethinking Taxation: The CLIPH-rate tax by Douglas Bamford will be published by Searching Finance in November 2012.
