Searching Finance is delighted to announce that Dr Peter Hahn has signed with us to write a textbook on bank strategy.
Pete Hahn teaches finance, corporate finance, and banking subjects to undergraduates, MBAs, and executives at Cass Business School in London. He joined Cass in 2004 as PhD finance student (completed in 2008) after more than a 20 year career in banking, lastly as Citigroup’s Senior Corporate Finance Officer for the United Kingdom where he was also a Managing Director and a Member of the global bank’s Operating Committee in London. Pete held prior positions in capital markets, corporate, and commercial banking in both London and New York. His principal research interests are in corporate finance and corporate governance.
During his banking career Pete advised a majority of companies composing the UK’s FTSE 100 and many major multinationals in Europe and North America. He is a frequent commentator on finance and particularly on the banking crisis and has appeared over 300 times on major broadcast media, principally the BBC television and radio. Frequently cited in the world press and on the internet Pete has written for the Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, The Financial Regulator and is currently a columnist for Dow Jones Financial News. He also frequently speaks at major international conferences.
Pete is a Senior Fellow of the Foundation of Management Education (FME) and a Fellow of the Higher Education Agency. Awarded a joint fellowship in 2007 by the FME and the UK’s Economic & Social Research Council, he also regularly speaks and writes on the challenges of mature students and business executives contributing to university education.
