Professor Beverley Clack: The Corporate Jargon I hate most is ...

Beverley Clack is Professor in the Philosophy of Religion at Oxford Brookes University.

 

She's also been known to tweet about The Archers and, even better, The Smiths and even found time to contribute a chapter to The Red Book.

Bev's no stranger to big words and big ideas, how else can you describe the following words on her website:

 

Beverley's research is concerned with exploring the way in which feminist and psychoanalytic theories can inform the approach and content of a humanist approach to the philosophical study of religion.


Bev agreed to be 2nd up to nominate corporate jargon that should be used no more, the big words that are just meaningless and wrong.


'Going forward' - how else can you do anything?

 

'Facilitate' - shoot me now.

 

Something 'washing its face' - i.e. being cost-effective. I could go on...
